Precious Bikitsha is a scholarship holder of the “Fokus International” program, which was launched in cooperation with the Austrian Ministry of Culture (BMKOES) in 2023. Young cultural workers from Kosovo (2023 – 2025) and South Africa (2025 – 2027) are invited to Austria to complete two-month internships at selected Viennese art institutions, thereby gaining work experience and enriching the host institution through their collaboration.
Precious Bikitsha will work at Tricky Women/Tricky Realities during her residency at MQ. She will contribute to archival work and support the festival's mission to amplify feminist perspectives through animated films by women and genderqueer artists. Her responsibilities will include cataloging films, organizing archival records, and supporting the preservation of diverse voices in animation. In addition, Bikitsha will help curate the thematic program and contribute her academic insights on feminist narratives and global social issues.
She will also actively assist in the planning of the festival and digital outreach. During the festival itself (March 5-10, 2025), she will support the team in coordinating the screenings and interacting with artists and audiences.
