December 2015 - December 2015Lina Theodorou’s artistic work is concentrated on sociopolitical subjects, on identity politics and the rights of women. She uses video and installations to examine questions such as the representation of violence in the media, human trafficking, the need for security in the public and privates sphere, the loss of life’s stability, the desire for adaptation and appropriation, the anxiety about alienation and exclusion etc.
Lina Theodorou lives and works in Berlin and Athens.
She studied at the School of Graphic Arts and creative Studies, TEI, Athens, at the School of Fine Arts of Athens (Sculpture ) and at the School of Fine Arts, Sculpture and Multimedia, The Hague, Holland.
