More recently, Sviatchenko has created the fashion-forward photography projects Close Up and Private. With a portfolio and methodology in perpetual evolution, his influences include modernism, surrealism, and rock music. Sviatchenko’s collages and paintings have been exhibited around the world and featured in celebrated magazines such as Dazed & Confused, Kilimanjaro, Varoom In our world of sensory overload, Sergei Sviatchenko stands out as an artist with unique vision. With project OUTSIDEINSIDE II, multi-media artist Sergei Sviatchenko wants to create a monumental sculptural collage of Wien's legendary architectural and historical environment around MQ.
In the artist’s signature style, the piece will be at once factual and fictional. Mixing Sviatchenko’s photography of the area around MQ with images from Sviatchenko’s archive of images project OUTSIDEINSIDE II will offer to look at the familiar in a surprisingly fresh new way.
The monumental sculptural collage/installation will invite the viewer to question the new reality and find one’s place within it.
“Go for the big elements, try to combine them.”
Artist-in-Residence Sergei Sviatchenko shares advice and gives insight into his collage works.
