Projectinfo

I believe the most challenging, yet exciting, aspect of being an intermedia artist is keeping the vitality of each art form intact while integrating them into a larger whole. In Austrian culture, I see the similar desire and challenge to keep contemporary art forms distinct while also maintaining traditional Western European aspects of the culture.

Historically, Vienna has been considered a center of new and emerging arts and cultural

practices. Today, this long-standing Viennese tradition in the arts is still rich with innovation. I hope to be both an observer in this continued evolution as well as a participant in its development.

Influenced by my research at MuseumsQuartier, I plan on creating a series of live sound, and video performance pieces that encapsulate my previous artistic experiences within the framework of Austrian new media techniques and traditions.

These works will be documented and performed in the United States as solo performances and as collaborations with the San Francisco based group DOUBLE VISION, of which I am a founding member.
