Georg Friedrich Händel - Il trionfo del tempo e del disinganno

Georg Friedrich Händel - Il trionfo del tempo e del disinganno

A dispute between the forces that move human existence: Beauty (Bellezza) swears eternal fidelity to Pleasure (Piacere) and is consequently rebuked by Time (Tempo) and Disillusion (Disinganno). What is human existence all about? How, and to what end, is it desirable and possible for a person to develop? And isn’t a bit of beauty wonderful?

Julischka Stengele "Von der Hand in den Mund"

Julischka Stengele "Von der Hand in den Mund"

"Von der Hand in den Mund (Hand to Mouth)" is a performative dinner, an edible installation, a sensuous discourse about taste and class. In a set-up inspired by the food and catering industries’ cosmos of commodities, Julischka Stengele creates a space of activity staging various dishes, the sampling of them, and a reflection on our sense of taste. Materialities, smells, aromas, colours and shapes combine with performative elements to create an aesthetic experience that involves all the senses.
